See where your work is shifting
Start with your responsibilities, not just your title. Separate repeatable tasks from decisions that need context and ownership.

A read-only lab service checker you can explain.
Three small Python examples, with an explanation in your own words.
A small script and a saved example of its output.
Two test outputs and a short note on the checker’s limits.
A CLEARER NEXT STEP
You don’t need to learn everything.
You need a useful next skill—and a way to practice it.
Start with your responsibilities, not just your title. Separate repeatable tasks from decisions that need context and ownership.
Choose a relevant topic and a four-week path. Each task includes specific AI help, your own practice, and a way to check the result.
Save outputs and reflect on the week. Adjust the next one. Finish a topic, keep your evidence, and choose what to learn next.
HONEST ABOUT THE SHIFT. HOPEFUL ABOUT THE WORK.
Some routine IT work will shrink. Knowing a tool or following a runbook may become less distinctive. AI can also give you a faster way to explore, test, and build.
Forth helps you work on the part you can influence: understanding systems, checking AI’s output, making responsible decisions, and showing what you can do.
Research-informed guidance. Clear assumptions. No invented replacement percentages or “AI-proof” careers.
Find a starting pointBEFORE YOU BEGIN
A small commitment, on your terms.
Choose 30 minutes to 10 hours a week. Your tasks fit that budget, including 15 minutes for a weekly check-in. If your time changes, your check-in can adjust the next week.
You can create a template plan without an AI account. Exercises include optional prompts to use with an AI tool you choose. No paid resource is required, and you can use synthetic examples when you don’t have a lab.
Your plan, notes, and check-ins stay in this browser on this device. Guest progress doesn’t sync between devices. When accounts are available, you can sign in and explicitly import personal guest progress for cloud saving. Export a readable copy from Progress before clearing browser data. If you choose live AI, the app explains what will be sent before you generate or adapt a plan.
You can check in with unfinished tasks and even zero practice time. Record what got in the way, then adjust the next week. After four reviews, your cycle stays in your history when you start another topic.
